United States ex rel. Bloedow v. Planned Parenthood of the Great Northwest

The Firm beat a $100 million qui tam case against Planned Parenthood of the Great Northwest.  After convincing the federal government to close an investigation into Planned Parenthood, the Firm prevailed in federal court on a motion to dismiss the case.  The alleged “whistleblower” claimed that Planned Parenthood had overbilled the federal and state government for contraceptives from 2002 through 2009. The Court found that the alleged “whistleblower” in the case was not a true whistleblower because his allegations had already been publicly disclosed and he was not the original source of the allegations.
