Kirsi Luther joined the firm in 2022, following five years of service to the federal judiciary. Kirsi first served as an extern and clinical intern for then-Chief Judge Dana L. Christensen of the District of Montana. Following law school, Kirsi went on to clerk for the Honorable Judge Christensen for two years. From 2021 to 2022, she clerked for the Honorable Sidney R. Thomas of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.

Kirsi earned her law degree from the University of Montana in 2019, graduating in the top 5% of her class. During law school, she was elected a co-Editor-in-Chief of the Montana Law Review and participated on the moot court and negotiation competition teams. Kirsi’s moot court team ranked first at their regional competition and third at their national competition, winning the best brief award at both levels. Kirsi was also named the best oralist at the regional competition. Kirsi’s negotiation team won their regional competition, placed second in the nation, and third at the international competition in Oslo, Norway. In law school, she also served as a teaching assistant for legal writing and research and worked as a legal intern for one summer at the U.S. Attorney’s Office.

Prior to law school, Kirsi earned her M.F.A. in fiction writing at the University of Montana and a B.A. in English and creative writing from the University of Iowa.

When she is not parenting her spunky toddler, Kirsi enjoys hiking, yoga, and learning Spanish.
