Firm Prevails in Title IX Appeal

In January 2020, the Firm prevailed in a Title IX case on behalf of a student accused of violating the student conduct code at a major university in Louisiana. After receiving an unfavorable decision from the university’s Title IX investigator and its appeals board, the Firm successfully litigated the case in the Eastern District of Louisiana, ultimately reaching a settlement with the university to strike the finding from the student’s record.
