Firm Wins Appeal at USC Reversing Client’s Expulsion

May 14, 2021 – The Firm secured a victory for a USC senior on the brink of graduating who had been expelled by the university for allegations of academic misconduct. Following an initial investigation that resulted in the Client’s expulsion, the Firm was retained to help the Client prepare an appeal to the university. The Firm identified procedural errors that occurred throughout the investigation and assisted the Client in submitting additional evidence to the appellate panel, including an expert declaration concerning the plausibility of the Client’s defense to the allegations. The appellate panel reversed the expulsion and allowed the Client to graduate from USC.
